On January 27, 2017, the Board of Fire Commissioners appointed Robert DiLallo to the position of Fire Chief after serving as Interim Fire Chief since August 22, 2016.

Chief DiLallo is a native to Florida and was born and raised in Miami Florida. He is also a proud veteran of the United States Army. He started his fire career with the Panama City Fire Department in March of 1991.

On January 29, 1996, Chief DiLallo was hired by Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District as a Firefighter/EMT and has served in many positions since. Chief DiLallo obtained his paramedic certificate after being hired and worked as a transport paramedic. He was also an acting driver Engineer and acting Lieutenant before being promoted to Lieutenant in 2001. In 2007, Chief DiLallo was promoted to Battalion Chief and was the Shift Commander on A shift until moving to Interim Operations Chief in 2015 and Interim Fire Chief in 2016.

Chief DiLallo is a member of the Lee County Fire Chief’s Association and the Florida Fire Chiefs Association. In Chief DiLallo’ s first year as Fire Chief, he was nominated and received the honorable “Fully Involved Fire Chief” of the year award from the Lee County Fire Chiefs Association.

Chief DiLallo is a Certified District Manager through the Florida Association of Special Districts, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Administration, and holds an Associate Degree in Fire Science Technology.
