Board of Commissioners

The business and affairs of the Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District are conducted and administered by a Board of Commissioners elected by the citizens of Lehigh Acres. The five (5) elected residents of Lehigh Acres serves as the policy-making body for the District. The Board sets policy approves the annual budget, levies taxes, provides direction and guidance to staff. The Board ensures that the District’s purpose, as set forth in its Enabling Act, is properly carried out.

The Fire Chief works with the Board of Commissioners and is responsibility for and authority over all departmental personnel, property and activities of the District. Board members have an obligation to act only on what is believed to be in the best interest of the District.
