Operations Division

The Operations Division (managed by the Deputy Fire Chief of Operations) is the "behind-the-scenes" support to the Fire Chief and responds to all fire, rescue and medical aid calls for service; manages major disaster responses; and staffs various emergency response apparatus and support units. The Operations Division is also committed to providing its members with the most current cutting-edge training available to our profession. Our training program and strict certification requirements are the foundation of delivering expert, professional, and effective services to the citizens of Lehigh Acres and its surrounding communities. We strive to accomplish this mission through continual education and rugged hands-on training. Areas assigned to the Operations Division include:

While each bureau listed above has specific functions, roles and responsibilities, all of them work together to provide efficient and effective emergency services for the residents and visitors of Lehigh Acres, Florida. This staff is responsible for the oversight and administration of the following functions:

  • In-service training
  • Recruit / probationary training
  • Company training
  • Driver training
  • Facility training
  • Officer training
  • Haz-Mat training
  • EMS training
  • Continuous training
  • Health and wellness
  • Research and development
  • Training class design, implementation and record keeping
  • Purchasing processes and budgeting
  • Fleet / Maintenance
  • Regular interaction with the Board of Commissioners and community leaders
  • Fire station, apparatus, and equipment maintenance, repair and replacement
  • Communication equipment maintenance, repair and replacement
  • Strategic planning and implementation of goals and objectives
  • Constant communication with Lee Control Emergency Dispatch Center
