On October 22, 2017, Fire Chief Robert DiLallo appointed Ralph Ketron to the position of Assistant Chief of Administration after serving as Interim Assistant Chief.

Assistant Chief Ketron is a native to Florida and Lee County. He started his fire career as a volunteer with the Bayshore Fire Department in March of 1997. On May 3, 1999, he started working for Tice Fire and Rescue District as a Firefighter/EMT and acting driver Engineer.

On February 10, 2003, Assistant Chief Ketron was hired by Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District as a Firefighter/EMT and has served in many positions since. Assistant Chief Ketron has worked as an acting driver Engineer before being promoted to Engineer in 2007. Worked as an acting Lieutenant before being promoted to Lieutenant in 2010. On March 27, 2012, Assistant Chief Ketron was promoted to Captain of Fire Suppression (Training Division) until moving to Interim Assistant Chief of Administration in March of 2017.

Assistant Chief Ketron currently holds an Associate Degree in Fire Science Technology, Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Administration and holds several certifications from the State of Florida. He has been an Instructor for the Southwest Florida Public Service Academy since June of 2006, and is a Certified District Manager through the Florida Association of Special Districts. Assistant Chief Ketron is a member of the Lee County Fire Chief’s Association, Florida Fire Chiefs Association, Southwest Florida Critical Incident Stress Management Team, Southwest Florida Urban Search and Rescue Team, and Southwest Florida Incident Management Team.

Recognition for public service includes Employee Performance Award of the Year, Distinguished Service Award, and Phoenix Award.

Assistant Chief Ketron has been blessed with the support of his family, throughout his public service career, to mention: Shay, Tyler and Colton.
