Truck 102 Housing Ceremony

The Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District will welcome our new Pierce Aerial Platform to our fleet during a Housing Ceremony at Station 102, located at 44 Homestead Rd S, on September 11, 2023 at 8:30am. It is particularly meaningful to push this truck into service on September 11th, a day that we remember the 343 FDNY firefighters who heroically gave their lives while trying to save others during the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. Our new truck features a memorial to these firefighters so that their legacy lives on forever.

Truck 102 is a 2023 Pierce Velocity 100’ Heavy-Duty Steel Aerial Platform. It carries 500 gallons of water and features a Waterous pump that is rated to flow 2,000 gallons of water per minute. The truck also features fold-down steps for firefighter ergonomics, 121’ of ground ladder storage, and EMS compartments. Truck 102 will replace the 2004 Pierce that is currently housed at Station 102.
