Two new rescues will be coming to the Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District! Their purchase was approved during the April Board Meeting of our District Commissioners. The new rescues will replace two 2006 rescues that have a combined mileage of over 630,000!

Our fleet also includes three 2016 models (due for re-chassis) and two 2017 models (approaching re-chassis requirements). This replacement of the 2006 models will allow us to maintain reliable response levels for our community’s medical emergencies while addressing the mechanical needs of the aging fleet.

Our firefighting and Advanced Life Support services are responsible for preserving life and property in an area of 142 square miles with a population of 120,000+ citizens. Due to the size of our District, all of our rescues average 1,000-1,400 miles per week. In 2019, our rescues responded to over 9,000 incidents to provide Emergency Medical Services.
