The Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District will be participating in On the Table SWFL, a regional civic engagement event organized by the Charlotte Community Foundation, Collaboratory, and Collier Community Foundation. On the Table SWFL will provide a forum for thousands of neighbors, colleagues, friends, and new acquaintances to gather over small, mealtime conversations throughout the region to share their stories and generate ideas to create a more sustainable and vibrant Southwest Florida.

On the Table SWFL takes on renewed importance after Hurricane Ian delivered devastating impacts affecting most in the region. Through these gatherings, Southwest Floridians have a place to discuss ideas for solutions to social challenges important to them – issues like the environment, stable and attainable housing, education, workforce development, rebuilding after Hurricane Ian, or anything else on their minds.

The focus of our table will be to discuss ideas, needs, and solutions for county-wide hurricane recovery with Chief Dilallo. Chief DiLallo is a member of the Lee County Recovery Task Force and will bring this input back to the task force for further discussion. On the Table SWFL is scheduled for March 30, 2023. Please join us at Station 104 (3102 16th St SW) from 9:30-am-10:30am. Light refreshments will be served.
